SHACKLETON, a barn owl, by Tim Cotterill, Frogman. In an effort to stylize the sculpture and accentuate the barn owl’s traits, Tim intentionally exaggerates the size of the feet and the talons. The beauty, the character, and the personality of this fine example of its species, comes through loud and clear!

Obviously, owls are a most favored subject matter for Tim Cotterill. Having sculpted them since 1972, he is fascinated by their beauty, character, and personality- and reminds us that, remarkably, they are the only birds with forward facing eyes.
